In Morning Star there are five learning environments as well as the playground that contains the vegetable garden.
The Yellow group class is for the toddlers and twos. The main learning aims in this group are social skills, language enrichment, gross motor development and sensory experiences.
Green, Blue and Red Groups |
The Green, Blue and Red groups cater for children 3-6 years' old. At least two of these groups have several grade R/0 learners.
The outdoor environment contains all the 'messy play' equipment including art, construction, gardening and a snack area.
"The environment itself will teach the child, if every error he makes is manifest to him, without the intervention of a parent or teacher, who should remain a quiet observer of all that happens."
