While au pairing in the UK, Kara discovered Montessori and in 2003 received her Early Childhood Diploma from the College of Modern Montessori in Johannesburg.  Kara joined the Morning Star team in 2007 and is currently studying towards a BEd in foundation-phase teaching.

Joanne holds a Birth-to-6 years Montessori diploma from the St.Nicholas Montessori Centre which she received in 1993.  She also holds a 6–9 years Diploma from Mercy Montessori Africa.  Joanne has two children and 17 years' teaching experience as a Montessori directress.

Donna studied Montessori at the Portabello College of Childcare in Dublin, Ireland, in 2003.  Since then she has worked in Montessori schools in Dublin and London and joined the Morning Star team in 2009.

Grace joined Morning Star in 2001 and worked in the toddlers section.  She has been studying Montessori  since 2005 and is currently completing her Early Childhood Development (ECD) Diploma.  Grace has two children of her own and is a valued member of staff because of her patient and gentle manner with the children, especially those in the Yellow group where she is the Head Directress.

After completing a textile design diploma in 1999, Urbie achieved an ECD Diploma from The College of Stellenbosch in 2001.  In 2008 she was awarded an Early Childhood  Diploma from the College of Modern Montessori which qualified her as a Montessori directress.  Urbie has been part of the Morning Star team since early 2008.

While working as an after care-teacher at a Montessori school Vickie became inspired to study towards a Montessori teaching career.  In 2006 she received her Early Childhood Diploma from Montessori Academy in Pretoria and has been with Morning Star ever since.

Dorah is the favourite of all the toddlers who will often be found following her around the school and playground.  The littlies often tell their parents that they love her “most of all”! Dorah has spent her entire career caring for children and has been with Morning Star since 2004.

Beauty has been with Morning Star since 2002 when she joined as an assistant in the Toddlers group.  In 2005 Beauty embarked on her Montessori studies and is currently completing her ECD Diploma. Beauty has four girls of her own, two of whom are teenaged twins. Beauty is qualified to work as second directress in any of our environments.

Sarina holds a Certificate in Early Childhood Development and is currently studying towards her Montessori ECD Diploma.  Sarina has a 3 year old and is well versed in the needs of young children. Sarina is qualified to work in any of our environments as second directress.

Zanel joined Morning Star as the After-care teacher in 2008 while studying towards her honours degree in Psychology.
